The NBTC said the NCPO had shot down proposals to provide assistance measures for digital TV operators after TDRI researchers commented that the proposed measures may offer excessive aids to the private sector. On Mar 15, the NBTC sought the NCPO’s permission to allow the operators to suspend their license payments for three years and subsidize 50% of the rental fee for broadcasting networks for 2 years.
